This document sets out the terms and conditions when you register for the International Summer School organized by Lend. By registering you are agreeing to comply with these terms and conditions. You should read this document carefully.
 
Acceptance of policies and registration conditions
Prior to your registration, you must acknowledge and accept the Terms & Conditions contained herein. Should you not wish to accept the Terms & Conditions you should not register.
Submission of a registration is regarded as affirmation of your acceptance of the Event Terms & Conditions.
 
How we will use your information
LEND is committed to data privacy and protecting your personal information (see our GDPR Compliant: https://www.lend.it/eu/politiche-del-sito/142-politiche-del-sito/615-informativa-trattamento-dei-dati-personali-art-13-gdpr-679-2016). By submitting your email address during the registration process, you agree that LEND may send you event-related information.  A valid email address is required for all registrations.
LEND uses the personal data you provide in this registration for administering your participation in the INTERNATIONAL SUMMER SCHOOL.  This may include information about the event’s content, event logistics, payment, updates, and additional information related to the event. 
 
Consent to Use of Photographic Images
As a participant in this event, you may be photographed.
With your participation you authorise the use of your images in photographs, videos and other reproductions.
 
Cancellations & Refunds

  • If notice of cancellation is received within 30th June 2023, 70% of the amount will be reimbursed ONLY FOR PAYMENTS THROUGH BANK TRANSFER. There will be no refund for payments made through “carta del docente”.

  • There will be no refund for no-shows.

  • Denial of a visa application to Italy does not entitle to any refunds.

 
  • The organisers cannot accept liability for personal injuries sustained, for loss of, or damage to property belonging to participants (or their accompanying persons), either during or as a result of the Summer School.

  • The registration fees do not include insurance of any kind, so please check the validity and coverage of your own travel insurance.

 
  • The organisers do not take responsibility for force majeure reasons for cancellation of the event (natural disaster, outbreak of severe contagious epidemic/pandemic, major strikes etc.).

 
Force majeure
In the event of force majeure, LEND shall be under no obligation to refund any tickets or fees.
If a Force Majeure event has an impact on the performance of the Conference, the ability to hold the Conference at the planned venue location or the planned Conference dates, LEND shall be, at its sole discretion and without obligation, entitled to reschedule the Summer School to a later date. In such case, any registration fees will be applied to the rescheduled Summer School and the Participant shall not be entitled to object such rescheduled Summer School or have any right to claim any compensation in respect thereof.
 
General
LEND reserves the right to change, amend, add or remove any of the above Terms & Conditions in its sole discretion and without prior notice. If one or more of the conditions outlined in these Terms & Conditions should become invalid, the remaining conditions will continue to be valid and apply. These Terms & Conditions apply to all event participants (attendees, speakers, sponsors, exhibitors).
